The article describes the characteristics of modern conditions for the use of machinery in the agricultural sector, taking into account the peculiarities of the shape and size of arable land in familypeasant farms. At the same time, technical and economic assessments of the impact of the use of machine-tractor units on the volume and level of fuel consumption under the specified conditions are carried out. The expediency of land consolidation in order to improve production efficiency based on more efficient use of fuel is shown.
