Increasing the efficiency of pasture use

В статье исследуется состояние и основные направления повышение эффективности использования пастбищ. Показывается, что предоставление права выпаса теоретически основывается на количестве животных, но строгих правил контроля за соблюдением разрешенных норм выпаса практически нет. При таких условиях, в результате многократной перегрузки пастбищ продуктивность пастбищ под корм (путем превращения их в сухую траву) снизилась а в ряде случаев произошли процессы эрозии пастбищ. Исследования показали, что перевыпас одна из существующих проблем, приводит к деградации ботанического состава спонтанных растений, что, в свою очередь, приводит к эрозии почвы. Отсутствие контроля над выпасом скота ставит под угрозу экосистемы. Перевыпас приводит к эрозии не только растительных, но и местообитаний диких животных и к эрозии биоразнообразия, что недопустимо. В статье, учитывая и результаты проведенной автором научно-экспериментального исследования в соответствующем направлении, предлагаются конкретные меры по улучшению и эффективному использованию пастбищ
