Assessment of economic effects of food safety requirements violation

The article is devoted to the calculation of economic losses caused by violations of food safety requirements. For this purpose, the nature of the violation of food safety requirements, the types and methods of determining the scale and extent of economic losses in this regard were considered. In addition, it has been shown that it is advisable to use the Triple Exponential Smoothing method when calculating economic losses.

At the same time, the article considers the statistics of hazelnut exports from the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2014-2021. For these years, the economic losses caused by cases of repatriation from the countries of the European Union in connection with the detection of aflatoxin in hazelnuts were calculated.
