Experience of introducing ISO 21001:2018 standard in the republic of Azerbaijan: main approaches and solutions

The most urgent problem in the field of education in modern conditions is the improvement of its quality. Strengthening the requirements for the quality of higher education has put forward the need to create, implement and maintain an efficient management system. To help educational service providers cope with this problem, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) developed and introduced a standard called ISO 21001:2018 "Educational organizations - Management systems for educational organizations - Requirements with guidance for use" [2].
The article analyzes the experience of applying the requirements of the ISO 21001:2018 standard at the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (ADAU) for the first time in the country. Definition of the context of the educational institution, classification of processes, division of responsibilities and requirements related to effective management are clarified, strategic development plan, descriptions of processes, data cards reflecting measurement criteria, risk management, management of inconsistencies, etc. information about the elements and document samples are provided.
