In the article, the factors that create the environment that determine the development prospects of agro-processing industry enterprises are characterized, and the author's attitude to those prospects is reported. Special attention was paid to the factors determining the market situation of agricultural processing products and the prospects of market expansion. The role of the innovation factor in the development of enterprises operating in the field and the state of the innovation activity promotion system have been widely studied. Limitation conditions of production-processing-consumption chain optimization in the field have been determined. The expediency of realizing the advantages of the digital environment in the improvement of the risk management system in agricultural processing activity has been shown.
