Climate change poses significant challenges to agriculture worldwide by affecting precipitation patterns, temperature patterns, and the frequency of extreme weather events. The article assesses the impact of these changes on agricultural sectors and considers adaptation strategies. Changes in precipitation patterns, including increased rainfall intensity and prolonged droughts, have been shown to lead to water scarcity and soil degradation, affecting crop growth and productivity. Although the rise in temperature accelerates crop development, it reduces productivity and increases the spread of pests and diseases. Extreme weather events such as hurricanes, cyclones and floods cause extensive damage to crops and infrastructure. Adaptation measures such as improved water management, use of drought-tolerant crop varieties and soil conservation practices are essential to reduce these impacts. By understanding and addressing the challenges posed by climate change, we can build more sustainable agricultural systems and ensure food security for future generations.
