Development of seed production and its role in ensuring food security

The article focuses on determining the role of seed production development in ensuring food security as an important component of economic security. To achieve the set goal, the trend of seed production development in increasing agricultural production is examined through comparative analysis. The main conclusions of the research and the proposed recommendations can be used in preparing the State Program for the development of food security and seed production. The article also justifies the wide resources for increasing the productivity of agricultural crops in our country, and offers well-grounded proposals for increasing the production of original, super elite, and elite seeds.
