State regulation of dairy cattle breeding

AbstractThe main objective of the livestock is breeding of high productive farm animals, improving existing and creation of new and more productive breeds. In this case, bred animals, along with productive qualities, must also have high adaptation characteristics for industrial rearing. They also have to meet the requirements of fully automated and mechanized industrial conditions used for milk and meat production.
This article analyzes the current situation in animal breeding, especially in dairy cattle breeding in Azerbaijan, the role of the government in the cattle breeding structure and breeding system in general, legislation applied in this area and state subsidies stimulating the dairy industry, problems of the dairy cattle breeding system, ways to eliminate problems, as well as improvement of the dairy cattle breeding system in the country.
The best breeding systems practicies are also widely covered in order to improve the possibility of breeding elements that are suitable for our conditions in the future.
