In modern conditions, solving the issues of sustainable development of agriculture is one of the priority goals of investments in this sector. The article considers the goals and main directions of supporting sustainable development through investments. Issues of improving mechanisms for attracting investments for sustainable development purposes are discussed. Recommendations are put forward on how to effectively direct investments to the implementation of measures related to the efficient use of land and water resources in the agricultural sector and the reduction of the harmful effects of climate change
