AbstractIncreasing non-oil exports is one of the priorities of the state's economic policy in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Our research shows that agriculture is a strategic sector for Azerbaijan and plays a special role in increasing non-oil exports. Even though the country's non-oil exports declined in the first nine months of 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the growth rate in agricultural exports was maintained. This article evaluates the impact of sustainable development of the agricultural sector on the growth of non-oil exports and makes relevant proposals to achieve the goals set in this direction in Azerbaijan.
